The Ulverston Rockets is our all-girls hardball cricket group — a fun, friendly and supportive place for girls to learn, play and grow.
Whether your daughter has never picked up a bat before or is already developing a love for the game, everyone is welcome.
Sessions focus on:
- building confidence
- learning new skills
- making friends
- enjoying being active outdoors
We train together every Thursday during the summer at our Priory Road ground, with additional indoor sessions over the winter.
No experience or equipment is needed – just come along and give it a try.
As girls develop, there are opportunities to play with the Rockets in league matches across different age groups, including Under 11, Under 13 and Under 16 levels.
For those who want to take their cricket further beyond club level, players are able to progress into district level opportunities via the MCC Foundation or county level – with several of our girls representing Cumbria and regional programmes in recent years.
